My Own Worst Enemy was born in January 2003 as the 'official' fanlisting for the wonderful thrash metal band Napalm Death [official because it has been approved by the fan network at and nothing else]. My initial reason for wanting to run it was purely selfish - the name of my old domain [pride-assassin.org] is taken from one of Napalm Death's song titles (as is the name for the fanlisting), and so I thought it'd be a fitting 'tribute' to have a fanlisting for the band on it (it was formerly hosted at pride assassin) And yes, I have seen them live, and yes, they do rock.
